Services
At Coded Pathways, we offer personalised, evidence-based literacy support for children who need more than what the classroom can provide. All our services are designed with care, expertise, and a deep understanding of how children learn best. We focus on building strong, confident readers and writers through systematic, research-backed instruction.
Individualised Literacy Intervention
Our one-on-one intervention sessions are designed for:
Children with dyslexia or specific learning difficulties (SLD)
Struggling or reluctant readers, spellers, and writers
Children needing targeted, intensive support beyond the classroom
Janette is a qualified Sounds-Write practitioner, and this evidence-based, systematic program forms the foundation of every session at Coded Pathways. Using structured synthetic phonics and the science of learning, we provide explicit, step-by-step instruction tailored to your child’s needs.
We also provide resources and guidance to support home practice, ensuring learning is reinforced between sessions. Progress is tracked carefully, and we celebrate each achievement, no matter how small, to keep motivation high and confidence growing.
Assessments & Screeners
Every child’s journey with us begins with a deep, thorough understanding of their strengths and learning challenges.
Our diagnostic assessments and screeners provide a clear picture of your child’s current literacy skills, including normed comparisons to children of the same age. This level of insight allows us to identify underlying difficulties, set meaningful goals, and ensure our intervention aligns with exactly what your child needs. From the very first session, we begin building skills using the Sounds-Write program, so no time is wasted in developing strong, foundational literacy.
Parents receive a comprehensive, easy-to-read report that goes far beyond test scores. It includes your child’s results with age-based norms, a clear explanation of what these mean, and targeted recommendations that can be implemented both at home and in the classroom. These recommendations are practical, realistic, and grounded in years of experience as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, and leader of learner diversity—designed to support your child’s teacher as well as empower you in advocating for your child’s needs.
We track progress closely and celebrate every step, ensuring your child experiences success, builds confidence, and stays motivated throughout their learning journey. Each report and intervention plan is intentionally designed to provide a holistic level of support—for the child, for their family, and for the educators working with them.
Parent Support
We work in partnership with families every step of the way. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in sessions, learning how to support their child’s literacy development.
By being part of the process, you will support your child with follow-up activities at home, carefully assigned to match their explicit Sounds-Write program. This ensures each session is reinforced at home, in between sessions. This helps your child commit learning to long-term memory.
We provide:
Guidance and resources for home support, aligned with your child’s program
Regular updates and progress reports, highlighting milestones and celebrating achievements along the way
Optional parent consultations to answer questions and address concerns
Together, we create a strong support team around your child, ensuring that every step of their learning journey is supported, celebrated, and built for lasting success.
